ALE OYERVIDES
AS THE 2024 WOMXN FOR CHANGE LATINA ENTREPRENEUR

Alejandra Oyervides is originally from Monterey, Mexico. Raised in a city that covets a culture of green spaces and modern art museums, she found a home in Portland in the early 2000s.

Oyervides uses her multicultural Mexican heritage with a keen eye for minimalism. The designer sees beauty in simplicity and is inspired by geometric and asymmetric designs. Her Fashion House Ale O showcases pieces that offer the wearer a bold presence with unpretentious style.
Ale, as many of us call her, is an entrepreneur, fashion designer, textile artist, immigrant, single mother of two, daughter, family advocate, and friend. Like fashion, Ale is a woman in transformation. Her story is as colorful and inspiring as her fabrics, beautifully captured in this comic.
You can follow her on Instagram: @aleomoda or visit her website at: www.aleomoda.com.

About the Artist: Kris Soebroto (she/her) is an artist/writer who grew up in Indonesia and rooted in the PNW for most of her adult life.
